Obituary, The State paper, 6 April 1938
Mrs. J. Adam Amick
Newberry, April 5 --Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Catherine Amick, ___,
widow of J. Adam Amick, who died Monday at her home in the Piney Woods
section of Lexington county, will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock
at st. Peter's Lutheran church, conducted by the Rev. J.S. Wessinger,
assisted by the Rev. Bryan Keisler, the Rev. J.B. Harmon, the Rev. E.Z.
Pence, the Rev. M.L. Kester and the Rev. V.L. Fulmer. Interment will be
held in the church cemetery.
Surviving are the following children, J.A. Amick, S.L. Amick and Mrs.
Charlie Huffsteller, Newberry; G.A. Amick, M.L. Amick, R.E. Amick, F.O.
Amick, and S.F. Amick, all of Prosperity, and J.S. Amick, Winston-Salem,
N.C.; 41 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be six grandsons.
