Narrative
Henry rallied support for the Lancastrians in 1460 and in December that year slew Richard, 3rd duke of York, the Yorkist leader, in battle at Wakefield. On 2/17/1461, with Margaret of Anjou, he defeated Richard Neville, "the Kingmaker", 16th earl of Warwick, at the second battle of St. Albans, avenging his father's death at Neville's hands in that city and freeing Henry VI from Yorkist custody. He was killed at the battle of Towton on 29 March 1461.
