Barbary Winston, 1443 acs. (O. & N. L.), Hanover Co; on S. side the Northanna (Riv.); adj. Thomas Prestwood, Hugh Hogan, George Phillips & Mr. Thomas Carr, Junr; 27 Sept. 1729, p. 413. 400 acs. part granted to Capt. Thomas Carr, of King Wm. Co., who sold to Mr. Ralph Crutchfield by deeds acknowledged in Hanover Court & by him transferred to Mrs. Barbary Winston; 1043 acs. being waste land adjoining. 5 lbs., 5 Shill.
