Miriam, Oseas' wife, agreed to allow her hisband to go first to USA, because of limited funds; however,this would be the case only if he took along their oldest daughter, Pesia(Bessie in the U.S.). [It was a well-known fact that husbands then ,when first to go, would often times never contact those left behind.] Their home in RO(Botoşani) was sold with the provision that the buyer would not take
possession until Oshea would send for Miriam and the three alive siblings that remained with her (Sadie, Yettie and Dora). Oshea and Bessie ,with most of the proceeds, then took off for the U.S. leaving behind Miriam and that 3 (three) remained siblings.Tthe buyer of the house reneged and took possession of the house forcing Miriam (with very little funds) to emigrate to the U.S in search of Oshea and Bessie. When she got to New-York, a kind horse and wagon driver took her and the children to the east side of
NYC, where most Jewish immigrants settled. Miriam got off the wagon (leaving the children on the wagon) and searched for Oshea. By chance, Oshea was walking on the same street where the wagon was parked and heard
children on the wagon with one of them shouting at Dora(using her nickname "Bora"). Oshea, on hearing the name looked up to see his three children. Eventually they hooked up with Miriam and the family was reunited now forever.
