Edward was born in 1820 in England.1   Edward's father was William Pennington and his mother was Isabelle Porter.  His paternal grandfather was James Pennington and his paternal grandmother is Ann Smith; his maternal grandfather was Henry Porter and his maternal grandmother is Jeanette or Jane Stringman.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 78 on May 16th, 1898 in Springville,Utah,Utah.  He was buried in Springville,Utah,Utah.2
