Robert was born in 1575 in East Harptree, Somerset, , England.1   Robert's father was Henry Newton and his mother is Catherine Poston.  His paternal grandparents were John Newton and Margaret Poyntz. He had a brother named John.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 66 in 1641 in East Harptree, Somerset, , England.1
