Louisa Botha was born on October 7th, 1914. Louisa Botha's father was Izak Jacob Joubert van Blerk and her mother was Jacoba Sophia Enslin (van Blerk). Her paternal grandparents were Francois Petrus van Blerk and Carolina Johanna Barnadita Vorster (van Blerk); her maternal grandparents were John Enslin and Maggie (Enslin). She had four brothers and four sisters, named Francois, John Adrian Enslin, Izak Joubert, Pieter Enslin, Magrita Maria, Jemina Berendina, Georgina Fredrika and Jacoba Sophia. She was the third youngest of the nine children.-
