Frances June was born on July 24th, 1964 in Port Elizabeth. Frances June's father was Dr Laurence William van Blerck and her mother was Myrtle Blanche Borland (van Blerck). Her paternal grandparents were William Crawford van Blerck and May le Roux (van Blerck). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Neil Michael, John Nicholas, Barbara May and Louise Ann.
