Harry Barter Trefethen (Harry Baxter Trefethen)

  • Harry and his family are found in the 1910 Census of Minnesota as living on P Street in Alexandria, Douglas County. He was a House Carpenter at the time. They were living in Minnesota as early as 1894 when their daughter, Rose, was born. This source is also where all his children were originally found, excepting Rose.
    A Leitha Trefren found a Margaret Trefethren, born on January 16, 1915 and died on October 23, 1994 in Maples, Minnesota, who, she asserts, has to be related somehow.
    She found a Eugene Trefethren, born on November 9, 1916 and died in January of 1985 at Carlisle, Elko County, Nevada. She found him in the phone book on one of her trips to Las Vegas. She called only to find that he'd died a year or so before. His widow knew nothing about the family, her husband didn't discuss them, apparantly there were hard feelings. He even spelled his name Tre Fetheren.  Eugene apparantly had a second wife, who is unknown, yet Leitha speculated her to be a woman by the name of Leola, born on May 8, 1913 and died in February of 1989. No place of residence or place of issue was supplied for Leola.
    Leitha went on to point out that eleven individuals had been found with the name spelled Trefethren.
    A William Trefethren, born on April 11, 1940 and died on October 12 1996 in Wendover, Elko County, Nevada, was also found by Leitha, who speculated him to be Eugene's son.
