Ellery Channing Spinney

Ellery was born on July 23rd, 1844 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts.¹ Ellery's father was William Newhall Spinney and his mother is Charlotte Melinda Hack. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Spinney and Marth Newhall; his maternal grandparents are Nathan Hack and Olive Crossman. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Zephadiah, Ellery, Charlotte and Caroline. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, Gustavus, Adeline and Julia. He died at the age of 4 in 1848 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts.¹
