Albert Webber Spinney

Albert was born in 1908 in Greenwood, Kings County, Nova Scotia. Albert's father was Edward Manning Spinney and his mother was Bessie A. Webber. His paternal grandparents were Caleb Spinney and Parney Barteaux. He had two brothers and a sister, named C., Leslie and Zelda. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 86 on October 19th, 1994 in Middleton, Nova Scotia.

General Notes
- Albert and Daise were married in 1939. Albert was born at home. Throughout his life, he participated in many aspects of community affairs. He was an active choir member and deacon of the Greenwood Square Union Meeting House. He served as a school trustee of Greenwood Square School district 2 and fire commissioner of the Kingston Fire Department between 1978 and 1992. He was one of the founders of the Kingston Steer Barbeque. He was an active member and past master of the Masonic Lodge, Markland 99. A Kingston merchant for some years, he operated the Western King's Hardware, providing the area with heating, refrigeration, and electrical services. In 1964, he joined O.H. ARmstrongj Ltd. as an accounts clerk and refrigeration specialist, retiring in 1974. He was an avid gardener, taking great pride in his vegetable and flower gardens.
