Martin Hege

Martin was born on March 3rd, 1810 in Meckenheim.¹ Martin's father was Philipp Jakob Heege and his mother was Cathatina Barbara Goetz. His paternal grandparents were Johann Heinrich Hege and Catharina Barbara Mayerhof. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Philipp Jacob, Johann Adam, Johann Jacob, Jacob, Maria Elisabeth, Catharina Elisabeth, Maria Christina and Catharina Margareth. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children.¹
