Alma was born in 1894 in Bendigo, Vic.1   Alma's father was James Alexander Carr and her mother was Pauline Henrietta Jackson.  Her maternal grandparents were Charles Richard Jackson and <Unknown>.  She was an only child.  She died due to kidney failure, Kidney fit, at the age of 35 in 1929 in Collingwood, Vic.2
