Mr William Davies 
William was born in 1854. William's father was David Davies and his mother was Harriet Hopkins. His paternal grandparents were John Davies and Esther Rees; his maternal grandparents were William Hopkins and Emma David. He had three brothers and five sisters, named David, John, Joseph, Mary, Susanah, Emma, Esther and Harriet. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died in an accident or as a result of an injury at the age of 41 on April 12th, 1895 in Cae Duke Colliery, Loughor.Death Notes

Died in an accident in Cae Duke Colliery.
While ascending for dinner with two other men in the cage in the upcast pit he fell out and fell 30 yards into sump. They had been cleaning the sump and removed the cover from the cage in order to fill a water tank placed in it.
