Edward de St. Croix

Edward was born in 1802 in Homerton and his christening took place on December 31st, 1802 in St John, Hackney.  Edward's father was Nicholas de St. Croix and his mother was Sarah Gay.  His paternal grandparents were Charles de Ste Croix and Françoise Neel; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Gay and Mary Kingstone. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named William, Henry, Thomas, Walpole, Jasper, Margaret, Nicholas, Sarah, Henrietta, Elizabeth, Mary, Arabella, Margaretta and Septima.  He was the second youngest of the fifteen children.  He died at the age of 14 on July 1st, 1816.
