Edmund I was born in 0920. Edmund I's father was Edward The Elder and his mother was Eadgifu. His paternal grandparents were Alfred The Great and Ealhswith of the Gaini ; his maternal grandparents were Sigehelm of Kent and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 26 on May 26th, 0946.Death Notes
Death: in Pucklechurch, Dorset. Stabbed to death by the outlaw Leolf at a banquet to St. Augustine
Burial: Glastonbury Abbey, Somerset, England
General Notes
Acceded November 29, 939 at Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, England reig ning 940 - 946. He expelled the Norse King Olaf from Northumbria in 944 and supported Dunstan in the reintroduction of the Monastic rule of St. Benedict.
