Seymour was born in 1727 in Pipe Creek Settlement, Carroll, Md.  Seymour's father was Jeremiah Jr YORK and his mother is Jeremiah YORK.  His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Sr YORK and Mrs Jeremiah Sr YORK. He had seven brothers named Joseph (Of Jeremiah Jr), Henry Sr, Joseph, Thomas, John Sr (Of Jeremiah Jr), Jeremiah Sr (Of Semore) and John.  He died at the age of 56 on August 2nd, 1783 in Sandy Cr, (randolph), Nc.  His burial was on February 8th, 1783 in Sandy Creek, Baptist Church, Cemetery, North Car..
