John Le was born about 1142 in Of Ness And Cheswardine, Shropshire, England.  John Le's father was Roland Le STRANGE and his mother is Matilda Le BRUN.  His paternal grandfather was Guy Le STRANGE; his maternal grandfather was Ralph FitzHerlewin HUNSTANTON (BRUN) and his maternal grandmother is Helewisa De PLAIZ. He had three brothers named Hamo (Hamon) Le, Guy Le and Ralph Le.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died about December 1178 in Hunstanton, Norfolk, England.
