Aleidis Van was born about 1260 in Of, Zutphen, Gelderland, Netherlands.  Aleidis Van's father was Otto II Count Of GUELDERS and her mother was Philippa De DAMMARTIN.  Her paternal grandparents were Gerard IV Count Of GUELDERS ZUTPHEN and Marguerite Princess Of BRABANT; her maternal grandparents were Simon II Count Of DAMMARTIN and Marie (Jeanne) Countess Of PONTHIEU & MONTREUIL. She had a brother and three sisters, named Rainald I Duke Of, Philippa Van, Margarethe Van and Maritje Van.  She was the youngest of the five children.  She died in 1286 in Of, Kleve, Rheinland, Prussia.
