Nicholas II was born on March 30th, 1697 in New Kent, Hanover, Va and his baptism took place on May 30th, 1697 in St. Peters Parish, Newkent, Va.  Nicholas II's father was Nicholas GENTRY and his mother is Mrs. Nicholas Gentry I.  His paternal grandfather is GENTRY. He had eight brothers and two sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Samuel, Samuel, James, Joseph, Joseph, James, David, David, Elizabeth, Mabell, <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  He died at the age of 79 on February 20th, 1777 in Albemarle Co., Va.  His burial was in April 1779 in , Albemarle Co., Va.
