John was born in 1574 in Holme On, Spaulding Moor, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place in Holme On, Spaulding Moor, Yorks, Engl.  John's father was Thomas BRIGHAM and his mother was Gillian (Chillian) Tryelinson Or TWELISON (TREVLIN, TWELSON, TRYELINSON).  His paternal grandparents were Thomas BRIGHAM and Jennet Millington OR TOMLINSON; his maternal grandfather is Mr TRYELINSON. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, William, Richard, Robert and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 47 in 1621 in Hotham, Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Eng..
