Mery's father is Eladio Del Valle Russián Navarro and her mother was María de Jesús Vásquez Balán.  Her paternal grandparents were Eladio Russián Navarro and Rosa Isidra Navarro; her maternal grandparents were Antonio Vásquez Farías and Carmen “Ninina” Balán Russián. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Eladio, Popó, Marisa, Oswaldo, Teresa and Misora.  Misora and Mery are twins.
