Robert, known as Spinaway, was born in 1838 in Barnard Castle, Durham.  Spinaway's father was Thomas Howson and his mother was Jane Dankin.  His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 84 on January 5th, 1922 in Claremont, WA, Australia.
