Henno was born in 1769. Henno's father was Hans and his mother was Liis. His paternal grandparents were Peeter and Mai; his maternal grandparents were Toots and Liis. He had two brothers and a sister, named Tõnn, Toots and Katri. He was the second oldest of the four children.
