Mari was born in 1788. Mari's father was Mihkel and her mother is Liis. Her paternal grandparents were Pärt and Annika; her maternal grandfather is Jaan and her maternal grandmother was Eva. She had two brothers named Jaan and Andres. She died at the age of 37 in 1825.
