Kärt's father was Peeter and her mother was Mai. Her paternal grandfather was Hindrik and her paternal grandmother is Ann; her maternal grandfather was Märt and her maternal grandmother is Mai. She had two brothers and a sister, named Märt, Juhan and Kristin.
