Jüri was born in 1751. Jüri's father was Mats and his mother was Kats. His paternal grandparents were Hans and Anu; his maternal grandparents were Jaan and Kats. He had two brothers named Peep and Toomas. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 20 in 1771.
