Claudia , known as Patty, was born in January 1971.  Patty's father is Luis  (Lucho) Vicente Melgar-Borja and her mother is Rosa Quinones de Melgar.  Her paternal grandparents were Roberto Adrian Melgar-Vanderalmey and Arminda Borja-Napuri. She has three brothers named Luis , Jose  and Miguel .  She is the second oldest of the four children.
