Aladár was born on November 5th, 1878 in Dencsháza Baranya vm and his baptism took place there on September 14th, 1878.1 2  Aladár's father was János Kossa and his mother was Emilia Paksi.  His paternal grandparents were Mihály Kossa and Sára Mészáros. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Elemér, Tihamér, János, Lenke, Adél, Emilia, Kornélia, Gizella, Jolán and Ilona.  He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 58 on March 12th, 1937 in Pécs.3
