István Magyari Kossa

István was born on August 18th, 1856 in Szeged and his baptism took place on August 24th, 1856.^1 2

István's father was László Magyari Kossa and his mother was   Mária Floigl.  His paternal grandparents were László Kossa and Julianna Király. He had six brothers and two sisters, named László, Béla, Endre, Dezső, László, Ferenc, Ilona and Mária.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
