György's father was György Asbóth and his mother was Katalin Zwanár.  His paternal grandparents were György Asbóth and Mária Masnyák. He had a sister named Katalin.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named György, Erzsébet and Éva.
