Andrew and Kate O'Donnell

Andrew was born in 1843 in Gnarkeet Creek, Victoria.¹   Andrew's father was Martin O'Donnell and his mother was Margaret Green.  His maternal grandparents were O'Connell and Green. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Malachy, Joseph, Francis, John, Patrick, Michael, Bridget, Mary, Mary and Margaret.  He died at the age of 66 on October 15th, 1909 in Birchip, Victoria.  He was buried on October 17th, 1909 in Birchip, Victoria.^2 3 

• General Notes

  Andrew and Kate originally farmed at Gooroc (near Geelong) and later settled in Birchip.  It is thought the Connelly family may have been already established in Birchip before Andrew and Kate were married.   According to Birchip cemetery records, place of last residence = Whirily.
