Blanche was born in 1883 in Richmond, Victoria.  Blanche's father was Charles James Fox and her mother was Isabella Ivory.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles Fox and Jane Rice; her maternal grandparents were John Ivory Carpenter and Isabella Hurst. She had six brothers and a sister, named Charles, William, James, Frederick, Ernest, George and Isabella.  She was the youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 98 on December 27th, 1981 in Fitzroy, Victoria.  She was buried on January 6th, 1982 in Cheltenham Memorial Park Cemetery, Victoria (RC section).^1 2
