Jacob was born on May 22nd, 1851.  Jacob's father was Balthasar Finger and his mother was Maria Margarida Volkweiss.  His paternal grandparents were Johan (João) Finger and Catharina Maldhaner; his maternal grandparents were Pedro  Paulo Volkweiss and Anna Maria Wink. He had two sisters named Magdalena and Catharina.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 73 on April 4th, 1925.
