Diva's father was João Brandt and her mother was Amália Finger.  Her paternal grandparents were João Brandt and Elisabeth Breitenbach; her maternal grandparents were José Finger and Carolina Schmidt. She has a brother and two sisters, named Romeu, Melita and Alcinda. She has a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Guilherme, Adolina and Erna.
