Elias Alvin was born on November 8th, 1891 in Rosette, Box Elder, Utah, USA.¹ Elias Alvin's father was Absolem YATES and his mother was Harriet Ann JAMES. His paternal grandparents were Absolem YATES and Elizabeth BUTTERLY. He had four brothers and a sister, named James Absolem, David, Leo Thomas, George Watkin and Mary Elizabeth.
