Christena was born on December 24th, 1865 in Millcreek, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.1   Christena's father was John MORGAN and her mother was Riis Christena NELSON.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph MORGAN and Elizabeth HARDMAN. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Heber John, William Thomas, Orson, Sarah Jane, Rosetta Margaret, Violate and Luetta.  She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had seven half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named John Gillett, Joseph Edward, Joshua Brigham, Samuel George, Reuben Willard, Wilford Moroni, Franklin Gillett, Mary Elizabeth, Ann Maria, Amelia Butterly, Mary Melvina, Annetta Jane, Alberta, Rhoda Ann and Lillian Aurelia.  She died at the age of 12 on October 29th, 1878 in Salt Lake City, Utah.1
