John GILLETT

John was born on August 19th, 1835 in Handsworth, Yorkshire, UK.¹ John's father was Joshua Hague GILLETT and his mother was Mary BUTTERLY. His maternal grandfather was John BUTTERLY and his maternal grandmother is Millicent CHARLESWORTH. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Mark, Joshua Brigham, Ann, Jane, Elizabeth, Maria Henrietta, Mary Ann, Sarah Butterly, Emma and Ellen Rebecca. He was the second oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 16 on March 11th, 1852.¹
