Luis Manuel was born in 1914 in Valle de Guanape.  Luis Manuel's father was Luis Manuel Itriago Sifontes and his mother was Francisca Josefa Rojas.  His paternal grandfather was General Luis Manuel Itriago Armas and his paternal grandmother is Buenaventura Sifontes Perez; his maternal grandparents are Nemesio Alvarez Rojas and Francisca Josefa Rojas Rojas. He had two brothers and a sister, named Pedro Luis, Luis Rafael and Belen Margot. He had thirteen half-brothers and thirteen half-sisters, named Luis Manuel, Jacobo, Raul, Salomon, Leonardo, Israel, Jose Manuel, Ali, Luis, Arnaldo, Jose Manuel, Pompilio, Luis, Lilian Susana, Edelmira, Elvira, Italia, Delia, Ana Ventura, Ana Luisa, Ventura, Gertrudis, Isaura, Flor Maria, Miriam and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 59 on April 25th, 1973.
