Francisco Manuel was born on April 2nd, 1900 in Sabana de Uchire.  Francisco Manuel's father was Antonio Jose Mata Medina and his mother was Wuintila Armas Alvarez.  His paternal grandfather was Andres Mata Alfonzo and his paternal grandmother is Barbara Medina; his maternal grandfather was General Manuel Monserrate De Armas Matos and his maternal grandmother is Francisca Alvarez Armas. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Antonio Jose, Andres, Wuintila, Barbara Erminia, Maria Concepcion and Andres Miguel.  He died at the age of 91 on November 25th, 1991 in Barcelona.
