Carlota was born on May 24th, 1848 in Guanape.  Carlota's father is Juan Manuel Dominguez Armas and her mother was Rosaura Alvarez Armas.  Her paternal grandfather was Juan Manuel Dominguez Arroyo and her paternal grandmother is Fidelia De Armas Madurera; her maternal grandfather was Lino Alvarez and her maternal grandmother is Carlota Clemencia De Armas Madurera. She had four brothers and a sister, named Eleodoro, Eliseo, Pedro Maximo, Manuel de Jesus and Rosaura.  She was the oldest of the six children. She had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Buenaventura, Rafael, Trinidad, Manuela Dionicia, Maria Rafaela, Adela Dionicia and María de Jesus.  She died at the age of 24 on June 6th, 1872.
