John Skidmore

John was born on April 11th, 1663 in Jamaica, Long Island, Queens, New York.¹ John's father was John Skidmore and his mother was Susannah Davis. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Skidmore and Ellen Whitehead; his maternal grandparents were Fulk Foulk (Fulke) Davis and Goody Davis. He had three brothers and a sister, named Joseph Sr, Thomas, Samuel and Abigail. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Samuel, Joseph and Abagail. He died at the age of 77 on January 22nd, 1741 in Trumbull, Fairfield, Connecticut. He was buried in Christ Church, Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut.¹¹

  Stratford), Connecticut, and was buried in the churchyard of Christ Church,
  Stratford, on 22 January 1741 aged 78. He married Mary, daughter of Peter and
  Mary (?Andrews) Norton of Fairfield; She was buried at Christ Church on 28
  November 1748 aged 83. SKIDMORE pg 21, 22.
  In addition to children listed, geneologist Emily C. Hawley states that
  a Jemina Scudamore "of Stratford" was a communicant of Christ Church on
  13 June 1736. If this is so then she is likely to have been another
