William Mure

William was born in 1272 in Craigie Rowallan, Ayreshire, Scotland.¹ William's father was Archibald Rowallan Mure and his mother was Margaret De Montgomery. His paternal grandparents were Gilchrist Moore or Mure and Isabel Comyn; his maternal grandparents were John II Montgomery and Margaret Murray. He had a brother named Reginald. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 76 in 1348.¹
