Albert C. was born on October 15th, 1860 in River Herbert,Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.  Albert C.'s father was Abijah Cove Higgs and his mother is Mary Jane Dickinson.  His paternal grandparents were John Higgs and Ellenor Cove. He had four sisters named Sarah Jane, Harriet Anne, Nettie and Ellen.  He died at the age of 76 in July 1937.
