Obed Alvord

Obed was born on August 1st, 1744 in Middletown, Connecticut, USA.¹ Obed's father was Asahel Alvord and his mother was Rachel Gould. His paternal grandfather was Thomas Alvord and his paternal grandmother is Mary Strong; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Gould and Mary Crittenden. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas Gould, Asahel, Elisha, Alexander and Eunice. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 100 in 1844.
