Fawqayah A was born in 1927 in Cairo, Al Qahirah, Egypt.  Fawqayah A's father was Abbas  Mohamed Ismail Sabri and her mother was Wageedah Disouki.  Her paternal grandparents were Mohamed Ismail Sabri and Adilah El Antakly; her maternal grandparents were Gen Mohamed Khalifa  Disouki Abaza and Shafika Shokry. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Ismail Abbas, Syed Abbas, Mohamed Abbas, Ahmed Abbas, Safiyah Abbas, Rawhaya Abbas, Adilah Abbas, Fayza  and Inaam Abbas.  Rawhaya Abbas and Fawqayah A were twins.  She died at the age of 81 in 2008.
