Hannah's father was Frederick Younkin and her mother was Elizabeth ? (Younkin). Her paternal grandparents were Frederick G Younkin and Maria Barbara Dieter. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Nicholas, Henry, Anna, Matilda, Mary, Sarah and Catharine. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
