Anna was born on March 24th, 1844 in Leipzig (Leibzig), Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).1   Anna's father was Christian Albrecht Sprecher and her mother was Carolina Fischer (Sprecher).  Her paternal grandparents were Gottfried Sprecher and Anna Katharina Sokolosky (Sprecher). She had a brother and four sisters, named Samuel, Louisa, Carolina, Justina and Anna.  She was the oldest of the six children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Christian, Wilhelm, Michael, August and Julianna.  She died at the age of 34 on January 10th, 1879 in Leipzig (Leibzig), Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).1 

Anna's family

Anna and Ludwig were married in a religious & civil ceremony on December 16th, 1862 in Tarutino (Tarutyne), Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).1  They had three sons and six daughters, named Christian, Christoph, August, Karolina, Christina, Juliana, Louisa, Christine and Sophie.
