George William Heigho I

George was born on May 8th, 1862 in Essex, England.  George's father was George Heigho and his mother was Amelia Stevens.  His paternal grandparents were George Heigho and Mrs. Heigho; his maternal grandparents were William Stevens and Mary. He had a brother and two sisters, named Edgar, Amelia and Florence.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 80 on April 2nd, 1943.

  Resident of Detroit since 1875; began active career as clerk in Detroit office of R.G. Dun & Co., continuing, 1876-81; became connected with Calvert Lithographing Co., Feb. 1881; was Secretary and Treasurer of the company from 1900 Eventually became President of the Company, according to notes from Grandma Dorothy.
