Isabel was born in 1141 in Clun, Shropshire, England.  Isabel's father was Lord Ingram de Say and her mother was Lettice de Say.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry de Say and Alice Maminot.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 58 in 1199.
